My birthday is Sept. 4, 2009
I live in Kenya. I am a Priority child with Compassion International because Kenya is a country with high risk for child rights violations. I have been waiting 7 months for a Sponsor.
Isaac's packet and sweet little face arrived at my house Wed., Aug. 14 in my Compassion Advocate Welcome Kit. I was told if a Sponsor wasn't found in a week, to let him go, but to be assured his packet would be displayed at a Concert where many Sponsors are found. I know this is true because when my friend, Katie and I received the names of 39 children from Shyogwe Compassion Project and then called Compassion, 24 of those children had just been selected at a Michael W. Smith Concert. Praise God! Katie and I had the privilege of finding the remaining 15 children sponsors. It is amazing to watch God at work providing for His little children.
I am grateful the Lord allowed me the privilege of trying to locate a sponsor for Isaac, but now it is time to trust God and give Isaac back into His hands. I am trusting in Jeremiah 29:11-13... "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." Jesus has a Sponsor in mind for Isaac, someone that will provide for his spiritual, mental and physical well being. I trust someone will hear the Lord and be HIS hands, eyes and ears to Isaac. My heart is sad, but grateful for another opportunity to trust in Jesus!
